The SASLT, in collaboration with IQVIA, have organized a workshop on November 29, 2019 entitled Hepatitis B: Revealing a Silent Killer: Call-to-Action Workshop at Assila Hotel, Jeddah. The workshop’s objectives were to review the burden of HBV as a significant public health priority in KSA and to develop recommendations and well-defined actions to optimize the care of HBV patients in the Kingdom.

This call-to-action workshop was attended by 12 Key Opinion Leaders from the MOH and governmental sector, and was co-moderated by both Dr. Mohamed Alghamdi, President of the SASLT, and Dr. George Papatheodoridis, Professor of medicine and gastroenterology at the University of Athens - Greece and Director of the Academic Department of Gastroenterology at Laiko General Hospital.

The workshop outcomes will be consolidated by IQVIA in order to produce a Whitepaper and Call-to-Action report.
